The Challenge of Ireland
"He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart...and does no evil to his neighbor...he who does these things shall not be moved." Psalm 15
As I returned from Ireland Mt. Shasta welcomed me back to the homeland.

But the anger of the Irish people towards the abuses by the Roman Catholic religion in Ireland and a growing hatred for God over the centuries exploded like a volcano on May 25th. As much as we tried to convince the people that introducing abortion into their culture was not right, the Irish masses took away the right to life for all pre-born children so they could choose to kill them.

The scandals of homosexuality and child abuse by Irish priests were so devastating on the Irish people that the Pope in 2010 stated to the Irish Bishops:

“You and your predecessors failed, at times grievously,” noting that their “grave errors of judgment” and “failures of leadership” had “undermined your credibility and effectivenes
It was this backdrop that made our task so challenging when on the streets of Dublin. The vote to allow abortion in Ireland was partly inspired by vengeance against religion. More than one newspaper quoted people saying, "Finally we have thrown off the shackles of the Catholic Church."

We found most Irish people had no idea what their own constitution stated to protect babies in the womb and were going to vote to remove this protection.

Here are the words they voted to remove from their Constitution:

The State acknowledges the right to life of the unborn and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and, as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right.
And by a margin of 2 to 1, the people took away the right to life for babies in the womb. One third of the eligible voters did not even vote in this incredible moment in history.
We sought to educate the people of Ireland about abortion and hoped they would always stand for protecting babies, but the hardened hearts were many, and emotions ran high, especially among the Millennials. Then the Prime Minister called on the people to attack our team. Watch this short clip that Matt put together showing some of our enemies at work.
This is a one-minute clip. It begins with the Prime Minister condemning our team and calling for violence against us.
Our team created lots of dialogue in Dublin while showing the reality of abortion. The news agencies reluctantly covered our presentation and tried to "fake news" much of the coverage, but Dr. Jean was great in his message, unapologetic with the truth. This is our team right outside the halls of Parliament. Now you know why the Prime Minister called for our heads in Irish stew. The Prime Minister is a radical, outspoken homosexual and his head of the Department of Education is an outspoken lesbian. We were not in welcome territory. The people of Ireland are in trouble.

If you need further evidence of the struggles in Ireland look no further. Here, Hannah is challenging an Irish woman in Trinity Square, while Karl Marx is looking over her shoulder... being celebrated by many Irish.

This woman listened as I told her the truth and said she would "rethink her ideas about abortion." Then she opened up to my offer of the Gospel through "One Heartbeat Away" and gave me hope that there are still souls to be saved on this island.

Dr. Jean didn't seem so sure sometimes about his fellow Irishmen as he tried to reason with some college students who live by their emotions without any regard for logic and reason.
This woman who works at an embassy admitted that abortion "kills a child, but it should be legal." She was angry that we would try to take away the "right of a woman to kill her child." That is what she actually said, without apology.
This man thanked us for our bravery in standing up for the truth. Susie, in the yellow, is a warrior from England and is also in the thick of the battle for the babies in Great Britain. I met some great people from other countries who joined us to awaken the people with the truth.
We took to the overpasses of busy roadways and reached many people. It was a very good way to reach more people. Many people would stop and come up to us on the overpass to talk to us.
We still faced some threats of arrest, but Dr. Jean just loved explaining to the Garda over and over again how the law works. On more than one occasion the Garda asked great questions about abortion which gave Dr. Jean a platform to reach into the hearts and minds of the men and women in blue.
The day I arrived in Ireland the second time, Facebook banned my website WWW.AbortionRegrets.com from the Irish Facebook Ads. They informed me that over 3,000 people contacted Facebook to complain that the website was trying to influence their upcoming referendum. So Facebook removed this very effective outreach. We are going to continue to battle the wrong actions of Facebook. Check out what got the pro-aborts so upset by clicking the orange button on the right.
I did find a few Baptist churches in Ireland. This one is 400 years old and in heart of Dublin. The pastor isn't 400 years old but preaches the Gospel. There were about 120 people in the worship service. It's a tough mission field in Ireland.

Almost half the 4.7 million people in Ireland live in Dublin.
This is another small Baptist Church on the outskirts of Dublin. The pastor here has a heart for outreach and was very evangelistic. There are a small number of churches in Ireland that preach the Gospel. They need our prayers for the difficult mission field they work.

We also met a great family of believers at Grace Church in a small town on the coast. Their heart for the people of Ireland was encouraging. I left there with a stronger burden for the 4.7 million souls on the island of Ireland.

It was great to be on the streets. Many people were willing to talk and listen.
"Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, the heart of the sons of men is fully set to do evil. Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him." Ecclesiastes 8
This young man, struggling with his identity, needed someone to care.

His life story of abuse and troubles came with a price. My friend, Joe, and I listened to his heart and ministered to him with both material needs and the most important need of a Savior. He bear-hugged both of us and was surprised two religious nuts would care so much.

He had not asked for help, but after listening to him we knew he needed it. People need the Lord.
A Must Watch Short Clip
Matt put this short clip together the day after the vote. It is tough to watch, but thank you for sending me to the battlefield to tell the truth. And thanks to Matt for capturing so much on camera for all to experience with us.
The Harvest Fields Are Ready For Us
I'm back at the abortion mills in California pleading for the lives of babies and their moms.

There is also a planned outreach during the big week of July 11-15 in Lake Tahoe where thousands of people from all over the world hang out. Our team will be there on the streets along with the youth group from Galt Bible Church sharing the Gospel and calling people to repentance.

The 2018 Fall College Tour schedule beginning August 20th will be posted in my July newsletter.

My website is back online after a needed strategic move.
